Dr. David Shusterman is a board-certified urologist whose native language is Russian. For nearly two decades he has treated urologic conditions in men and women, favoring minimally invasive, in-office procedures over major surgery. Our front desk speaks Russian too.

In your own language it is easier to describe symptoms precisely, ask the awkward questions and understand how the treatment options differ. Dr. Shusterman conducts the visit in Russian himself: he explains test and imaging results, walks through the risks and chooses a treatment with you.

Medication, UroLift, Rezūm and prostate artery embolization (PAE). The right choice depends on the size and shape of the prostate, your symptoms and your preferences; Dr. Shusterman will explain the pros and cons of each.
A list of your medications, previous test results and imaging if you have them, and your questions. For urinary symptoms it helps to note when they happen and how much they bother you.
If you suddenly cannot urinate, or have a high fever with severe pain or other serious symptoms, seek emergency care rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
